Our new topic this term is ‘Under the Stars’. P1 are developing an understanding of time and daily routine. The children helped our class puppet Amy sort activities into things we do in the day/afternoon/night. P1 particularly enjoyed exploring the work of Vincent Van Gogh and his painting ‘A Starry Night’. We created our own interpretations of the painting using paint, glitter, stickers and paper. The children then imagined what they would see if they looked out their bedroom window at night time, just like Van Gogh did! We engaged in shared writing and helped Mrs Wylie to type our ideas on the computer.
