Primary One have thoroughly enjoyed two of their recent themes on ’Safety and Communicating’.
Theme of Safety:
The children have been learning that a baby must never be left unsupervised and how vulnerable all babies are. We also discussed that babies should sleep on their back to prevent the risk of SIDS. We discussed possible dangers in the home for a small baby and ways we can keep them safe.
Theme of Communicating:
The children have been learning that babies move from communicating through body movements and gestures to communicating with verbal language. We had graet fun singing nursery rhymes to baby Padme and watching how she responded.
The children noticed such a change with baby Padme. It was so lovely to see her trying to wave to us and also crawling up and down the green blanket.
