P2 were excited to take their numeracy learning outside today, focusing on the topic of 'Capacity'. They learnt the meaning of capacity (the amount that something can hold). The kids were able to talk about capacity to describe when something is full, half full and empty.
They filled different containers up with water and described them as 'full', 'empty' or 'half full'. Some other children used chalk to draw different amounts in containers and another group used the sandpit to fill buckets with different amounts of sand.
