Macosquin Primary School put in a brave performance losing out to a talented St Brigids side in the first round. Macosquin took the lead after an excellent ball was played to Jake Brooks who was able to finish calmly into the corner of the net. The team fought hard but three quick goals put St Brigids into the ascendency. In the second half Macosquin played much better but were unable to capitalise on some of their chances. Dylan Hall rattled the post with an excellent volley. St Brigids scored a couple of late goals to add to their advantage. The whole team can be very proud of their efforts. I have been very impressed with the team and their hard work. As a team we look forward to playing more together and improving with each match.
