Macosquin Primary School, Coleraine

London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art Exam Success

19th Jan 2017

As a new venture in Macosquin Primary School, pupils from Year 4 to Year 7 were given the opportunity to enter a LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) Exam in the speaking of verse and prose. In November 2016 two pupils from Year 4 were entered for a Grade 1 exam and four pupils from Year 5 were entered for a Grade 2 exam. Their meticulous interpretation and detailed performance along with their theoretical knowledge were tested. When the results were published, all six pupils had truly excelled as they achieved exceptionally high marks. Everyone obtained a Distinction with marks ranging from 83 upwards, as well as one pupil who achieved full marks of 100. Congratulations to Keirsha, Holly, Lucy, Leah, Luca and Olivier as the first participants of this exciting new opportunity at Macosquin Primary School. A special thanks to Miss Cusick (Speech and Drama Co-ordinator), Mrs Nikki Crowe and for all the parental support as the children prepared for their exams.
